1428 H Shaykh Yūsuf KhaJJār MuΧammad (Translated by Shaykh Tahir Mahmood Kiani) |

Woman is the twin half of man. She comprises half of the total population of the
world. She has roles to play and duties to fulfil in this huge world of ours where she
performs the characters of mother, wife and daughter, which ultimately go on to

is the sole reason for her equality in rights and duties with man. Mind you, these
rights and duties are distributed equally, with respect to the natural being of the
sexes which is why many of these rights are not the same. The first to declare these
rights and duties for the female was the most consummate and elaborate sociopolitical
system of them all – IslÁm.
IslÁm appeared as a saviour for the whole creation in general, but let us not forget
that humans were the main objective, and as we all know, the human race includes,

Translated by Shaykh Tahir Mahmood Kiani. The People of Reality (Ahl al-ñaqq), as opposed to the Sophists (SūfisJā’iyya), say:
The realities of things are conclusive and the science thereof is convincing.
The sources of knowledge for mankind are three:
[1.] Sound Senses (al-Χawās al-salīma),

Taqlīd: Trusting a Mujtahid |
|
|
1428 Shaykh Tahir Mahmood Kiani |

 |
Islām is like a fortress, or castle, that is guarded continuously by armed sentinels, within
its many-feet thick walls that are impenetrable, save for one heavily protected gate and
drawbridge that opens by falling over a crocodile-infested moat, that is many metres wide,
and cannot be crossed nor overcome. How do you destroy such a people who are so
aggressively protected by revealed laws and sincerely adopted rules, yet are themselves
so pure of presence, serene of spirit, modest of manners and content of custody?
